From today, Thursday February 6th, all customers with Get digital TV and broadband can download Get?s new television experience from the Apple App Store.
– “Get TV ” gathers content from TV channels, on demand and archive services on just one platform and makes all content available for searching and sharing in an elegant and simple way, says Gunnar Evensen, CEO of Get.
In the future, Get customers will experience how traditional TV viewing merges with video on demand, archive functions and web-based content services.
– Over the next eighteen months our customers will enjoy a seamless, feature-rich and highly personal TV experience. We will provide the same great Get experience on your tablet, smartphone and TV box and regardless of time and place. Our new app, the “Get TV” gives you a taste of the future, says Evensen.
A brand new design
Although Gets current user interface is still considered the best in the Norwegian Market, Get has developed a new design language for the next generation of television services.
– Our new user interface is based on award-winning design principles from Cisco-owned DNS/Studio Design which we then have developed and customized to create a unique Get experience, says Evensen.
At launch the new app has 30 popular TV channels, movies and series from C More Play, a modern TV Guide with recording functionality on Get setup-boxes, easy access pause and rewind and the opportunity to create 10 personal profiles.
You can also search for programs, actors and keywords in a simple manner, and share recommendations on Facebook and Twitter.
